Responsibilities:
• Build strong, effective relationships with clients • Understand clients business objectives, competitive scenarios and any other appropriate strategic direction • Develop communication & promotional strategies covering the whole marketing mix • Identify opportunities to introduce planning to deliver strategic solutions • Challenge client to ensure agency gets the best possible brief • Challenge creative to deliver strong, effective creative against brief • Anticipate and schedule client needs appropriately • Ensure account management excellence at all times: identification and implementation of process improvements • Financial accountability to Senior Management for the team’s performance • Overall profitability of the account, managing resourcing & expenditure against income • Motivate and lead all those involved in campaign development in order to achieve objectives

Personal specification:
• Graduate calibre with a minimum of six years of agency experience, most recently at Account Director level. • Commitment to achieving results & the ability to influence at a senior level • Strong team management skills • Dynamic, driven, hands-on management style • Solid project and financial management skills • Highly effective written and verbal communication skills • Ability to create and give presentations • Excellent influencing and negotiation skills • Tact, diplomacy, maturity in relating & interacting with people at all levels. • Fluent in Dutch and English, other languages would be an advantage • Preferably have international experience • Subscription-based marketing experience would be an advantage

Our client is the direct marketing agency of choice for many of the UK’s leading companies – including BSkyB, Vodafone and GSK. Headquartered in London, the agency group is rapidly expanding internationally – with a presence in Madrid, New York and the Middle East and Amsterdam.
Our client recently won a large media & telecoms client based in the Netherlands but operating in 9 countries across Europe. We are looking for a Senior Account Director to take a key role on this specific account as well as assist the DAD International team expand their presence within this client across Europe. This candidate will be responsible for leading and driving projects, budgeting, reporting and managing profitability. They will also be required to build an account team around them to manage the growing requirements of the client.
